Virgo Takes Second Place at Nebius Robotics & Physical AI Summit Awards

We’re proud to share exciting news from one of our portfolio companies, Virgo, which took home a second-place $100,000 award at the 2025 Nebius Robotics & Physical AI Awards during the Nebius Robotics & Physical AI Summit on December 9, 2025.

The Nebius Robotics & Physical AI Awards are part of a global initiative designed to spotlight and accelerate emerging companies advancing the frontier of robotics and physical artificial intelligence — from embodied systems and autonomous robots to advanced models and runtime infrastructure. The program highlights startups and scale-ups pushing transformative technology that redefines how the physical world is observed, understood, and automated. Winners were selected from among dozens of finalists from more than 60 countries and celebrated at the summit held at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California.

In the Foundation Models, Robot Brains and Runtime category, Virgo distinguished itself among a competitive field to earn the runner-up honor and a $100,000 award in Nebius AI Cloud credits. According to Virgo’s CEO, the award will be put to direct use in accelerating the company’s next phase of development: “We’ll be able to use the cloud credits to quickly train an improved version of EndoDINO, which will help our work with Gilead and J&J.” This recognition not only brings valuable compute resources but also elevates Virgo’s visibility within the robotics and AI ecosystem and among investors and industry leaders gathered at the summit.

The Nebius Robotics & Physical AI Summit and Awards bring together founders, researchers, investors, and technical leaders to explore the latest breakthroughs in physical AI, with a focus on the real-world deployment of intelligence in physical systems. Participants benefit from live demos, expert panels, and networking opportunities that bridge cutting-edge innovation with investment and commercialization pathways.

Congratulations to the entire Virgo team on this achievement. We look forward to seeing how the improved EndoDINO model advances the company’s mission and contributes to its partnerships with leading life sciences organizations.
